Summer program

I had such high hopes for this summer. I had my themes, my schedule and activities all planned out. Now ask me how many themes we actually stuck to, and how the schedules and activities went. I do have to admit, we have been very busy. I look at the schedule as more of an outline now. We haven't done a lot of sitting around doing nothing, which I am thankful for. The girls (more Meredith) read this summer, we did some crafts, we did a little Bible studying. So, all in all it wasn't a total wash. Not much writing got done. Meredith did a good job trying to journal. Maya hates writing, so I had to force her twice.
I think for the remainder of the summer I will attempt to at least have them read and write a little more. It won't kill them. :) I will try to read and write more as well. It won't kill me either.
